@multiplesanta34@smartelek@agraybee You can divide Netanyahu policies into two camps: ones whose damage will take many years to undo, and ones whose damage is irreversible.
Heโs very likely to be the worst currently serving head of government in the world
@smartelek@agraybee Itโs the exact same deal Biden released over a year earlier in April 2024. Same guidelines as the one Blinken drafted in December 2023.
@PoliticalJewTT A. Some prominent Supreme Court Justices disagree with you. Read Steinโs opinion in the Tiberius Law case (ืืืดืฅ 5119/23).
B. Heโs calling for a constitution to be ratified. Heโs expressed that opinion many times, he mentioned the American DOI as inspiration, not precedent.
Netanyahu obviously gets 0 credit for the deal (what kind of monster needs persuading to rescue his own dying citizens from tunnels?), but Trump is still the one who made him agree, and no one can take it away from him.
I am also eternally grateful to Biden for his hostage deals in January 2025 and December 2023, and generally his support even when it was unpopular and even extremely unpopular w/ his base.
@clusterbitch_ Before the election, I wrote that counting on Trump is completely stupid because heโll inevitably get bored and stop dealing with us at that moment. I supported Harris because I believed Netanyahu needs restraining.
Liberal Zionism once again vindicated๐
