@shivae372 The log ins go through Plaid. The same thing budget apps like Monarch use.
Also if I really wanted to I could have just taken screen shots of everything and cropped out certain details like account numbers and Grok will quickly organize it.
Been experimenting with making a custom budget app using Grok Build and I don't see how Budget Apps will be able to compete.
And yes you can connect your bank accounts and credit cards and have Grok auto update the app.
This is exactly why index funds, especially the S&P 500, are so hard to beat.
If 3 out of 4 professional fund managers can’t outperform it, why pay higher fees for worse results?
Figured $SPCX might be the exception to new IPOs falling below their IPO price.
There is no real alternative to @SpaceX. They’re unlocking entire sectors: reusable launch, global satellite internet and cellular, orbital data centers and whatever Starship enables next.
@PrestonJones@teslaownersSV@WilliamShatner Should have switched over to online banking a long time ago. Probably wouldn't have gotten 6% APY, but easily 1.75-4+% over the past several years.
Important to note that @XMoney is not an actual bank. FDIC insurance is for if an actual bank fails. If X Money messes up then you could be left waiting to get your money back like with what happened with Yotta.
Then again @SpaceX owns X so I wouldn't worry too much.
X MONEY: IMPACTING THE UNBANKED AMERICAN🇺🇸
Latest FDIC survey data shows that 4.2% of U.S. households remain unbanked.
Per the Federal Reserve this means ~15 million adult Americans have no checking/savings account at a bank/credit union.
X Money delivers FDIC-insured checking accounts right in the app.
This isn’t just another Venmo, X Money is revolutionizing finance for the Americans left behind.
@XMoney could become very interesting if they give additional benefits for those who are subscribed to X.
Could bundle Grok, with X premium and also get additional banking benefits with X Money.
@elonmusk might be making the best subscription service ever.
@LouieInvests@REDWRITER It would probably be better to have a local brick and mortar bank and go there to deposit cash and then transfer it into a high yield savings account (potentially @XMoney later this year).
Especially if you have a good amount of cash (stores usually have cash deposit limits)
@JoshKale Hopefully they allow users to have savings that are separate from their cash account. It would be nice to be able to organize savings into fun money, emergency funds, vacation etc...
Especially with automatic savings features (% or dollar amount from every paycheck to savings).
Let's see if @XMoney can surpass @SoFi
Will be a step in the right direction if X offers automatic savings features (like automatically moving into a savings vault when you receive direct deposit).
Bonus points if checking earns the same APY as savings.
xAI's journey in 2025 has been epic. Grok has surpassed ChatGPT IMO. 2026 is going to be insane. Jobs will be flipped by this tech sooner than people think.
Back in January, nobody had heard of Grok. We basically just had Grok 2 and an image gen model. To put it bluntly, we were playing catchup.
1 year later, our team has built the world's largest GPU cluster, benchmark-topping reasoning models, Grok Voice, Grok Imagine, beautiful mobile apps, X/web apps, a robust API, and more.
And we're only just getting started. Thank you all for being a part of our journey so far, and buckle up. 2026 is going to be a massive year for xAI 🚀

Elon on Grok Creating New Technologies:
“I think it may discover new technologies as soon as later this year, and I would be shocked if it has not done so next year. I would expect Grok to, yeah, literally discover new technologies that are actually useful no later than next year, and maybe end of this year, and it might discover new physics next year, and within two years, I’d say, almost certainly. So, like, just let that sink in.”
