*Current active proposed/approved developments. Two 60-storey twin towers have now been approved in Ajax, which will make them the tallest towers in Durham.
It’s being reported that the HBC wing is going to be removed at PCC. However, It is still unclear on what will happen with the space but updates are expected to be shared this year on whether the area is intended for additional towers or a redevelopment of the retail footprint.
Ajax is gearing up for a major transformation at 190 Westney Rd S. Ledim Developments’ 62‑storey mixed‑use towers near the MTSA are moving forward, bringing 1,254 residential units, a 9‑storey podium, over 5,100 sq. m. of commercial space, hotel suites, and modern amenities.
Progress at the anticipated Pickering City Centre Project. Development is underway on Towers 1 and 2, 40 and 45 storeys. Occupancy is expected in 2028.

Progress at 310 Kingston road in Ajax. This is currently the tallest development under construction in Ajax. This project by Ledim developments will stand 83.7 meters once complete (higher than the vision towers at Pat Bayly Square in DT Ajax).

The Harwood Plaza Redevelopment is a new mixed-used proposal in Downtown Ajax at 33 Hunt street. The plan includes three towers (16, 23 and 30 storeys in height), 863 residential units and 886.7m2 of ground floor retail space.
