Jubileehills is the highest point of #Hyderabad and it holds @HMWSSBOnline dirty secret.. a sewage cess pool that contaminates stormwater drains at the source… from years.

Coincidentally this sewage cess pool is 750m from @cgg_hyd that has been transforming public administration over the last 25 yrs.. a place where our planners get trained.. and just 750 kms away.. our department allows stagnation of sewage in an open plot.. this has been happening for years… and the same planners are busy building infra to pump in 2.5 TMC of Godavari Waters to dilute this sewage entering Musi River through our Nalas.

@hmwssbed @CommissionrGHMC @PrlsecyMAUD #MusiRiverfrontDevelopmentCorporation which STP will be treating sewage flowing through our stormwater drains? Pls provide details of such STPs.. if not.. does this mean sewage flowing through our storm water drains will continue contaminating our lakes and rivers while we are spending Crores in Rejuvenating our lakes and rivers?

Water bodies are lifelines for millions of living organisms, birds & mammals. This is a water body inside the 400 Acres Kancha Gachibowli land that is being auctioned by TGIIC/TSIIC/TG. TGIIC/TSIIC feels by preserving this water body and developing the surroundings is enough to preserve this water body.

There are large numbers of Deer/Wild boar/Peacock/mongoose/Monitor Lizards/birds etc that also depend on this water body but TGIIC/TSIIC is mum on their future.

By isolating water bodies/Rock Formations and mostly destroying grasslands and wooded areas in the name of development, this area will no longer be a thriving Eco-System it presently is.

This land was given away once in 2003 to a company, just 4-5 days after its incorporation.. at a throw away price without a thought of its contribution to the local Flora and Fauna. Now the same is being repeated except this time its being auctioned in expectation of a very high monetary value.. but unfortunately this time too the Administration is blind to its actual value as a self sustaining eco system.

We are repeatedly requesting our Chief Minister @revanth_anumula garu to cancel this auction and declare this as a reserve park so that it can be permanently saved for our own future.

Some moments are priceless!! The sense of satisfaction after successfully moving 88 trees as-is..without cutting a single branch.. in 2 days flat!!!

We are so grateful to our green warriors.. ones who share the passion as much!! Ones who stand by us through thick and thin of this "tougher than one can ever imagine" work.. These two are our pillars.. Prakash Gajjala @ramkumarp1988.. they have no other agenda but saving trees!! Leaving their family for days together.. working in a remote jungle with bare minimum support.. that's us.. at #vatafoundation driven by nothing but pure passion!!

Together we were able to move 88 trees as is.. in 2 days flat.. under a relentless sun.. Bodies punctured by countless thorns.. Sun burnt.. Dust filled eyes/nose/lungs.. but in the end... the satisfaction of being able to save trees is visible in our smiles... and nothing can come close to this feeling..

One more day... few more trees saved... Life is good!!!
