Can we finally turn the Anthony Volpe page?
The kid grew up dreaming of being a Yankee, got to wear the pinstripes, and by every account gave that organization everything he had. That deserves respect.
Be excited about George Lombard Jr. I am too. But why does that have to come with taking shots at Volpe? That’s weird.
It’s always the people who’ve never competed on a stage anywhere close to that level who are the loudest tearing him down.
Turn the page. Appreciate what Volpe gave, root for what’s next, and stop pouring salt in the wound. Respect costs nothing.
🗣️ Javier Hernández:
“When you look back at the World Cup from the group stage to the final, and you see how almost every country Argentina played against complained about bad officiating, cheating, and bias from the match officials, it starts to look like the tournament was planned for Messi and Argentina to win, perhaps as a send-off for Messi.
It doesn’t feel like a fair World Cup. Too many incidents were overlooked because they involved Messi and Argentina players, and too many cards were shown after Messi appeared to influence the referee. It all gives the impression that the tournament was being steered in Argentina’s favour.
I believe Spain were simply too strong, which is why Argentina couldn’t beat them despite what I felt was poor officiating in the first half. In my opinion, there should be a proper investigation and review of the decisions made in Argentina’s favour, especially in the matches against Egypt, England, and Cape Verde. I believe more controversies would come to light.
Football is supposed to be for everyone, not just one country.”

🚨🗣️ Sergio Ramos on Paredes and the Argentina players confronting Gavi:
“These are the kind of players I love playing against. They wouldn’t have tried that when I was playing for Spain.”
In 2010 my daughter Ines was upset because I didn’t bring her to South Africa in 2010…I told her that we will arrive to another final @FIFAWorldCup and I will take you and we will win! Today We did it and I kept my word…@SEFutbol and thank you @Airbnb for helping make the dream possible…
🎙️ Aitana Bonmatí
“Honestly, I have mixed feelings because we Barça fans love Messi, and we never got the chance to give him the farewell he deserved. He left during the COVID year, with empty stadiums, so he didn’t get a send off worthy of him. But in the end, I’m cheering for Spain, and of course I hope Messi has a great final.”
