*Beep Boop* I got Atlas to create daily summaries across slack and a half dozen other tools that gets delivered to me each morning. Took maybe 30 minutes of back and forth conversation to get in place. No need to worry about infra or deploying anything. It just worked!

We debated intensely at @WorkOS about what the shape of this should look like. We wanted to avoid shipping something that attempted to 'do it all' when it comes to agent auth and instead wanted to focus on specifically solving the front door problem. (1/3)

An open protocol for agents to register for services on the web.

We're partnering with @Cloudflare and @Firecrawl as some of the first providers.

Why did we build this? And why now? 🧵

Too many specs or protocols tend to try to do too much, but applications need flexibility to support their business needs.

We also wanted to be sure that whatever we built was not locked down to require WorkOS. Of course if you use WorkOS this will work seamlessly. (2/3)
