Happy Black History Month! For 100 years, each February we’ve celebrated the Black folks who've shaped our nation and fought for our freedoms. As we reflect on how far we've come, we can't lose sight of the work that remains. The dreams of our ancestors depend on all of us carrying on their work and refusing to be deterred. That's what Black history is all about: the enduring hope, joy, resilience and resistance—truths that resonate as powerfully today as ever before.
Early voting starts today and this is our chance to change NJ.
If you’re still undecided, read my op-ed published today. This campaign is about real reform, not soundbites and putting people before politics.

To everyone who watched tonight’s debate, thank you. (Link below)
If you’re still undecided, I get it. That’s exactly why I showed up tonight to speak directly to you.
You heard where I stand: I’m not part of the political machine. I’m not backed by the insiders. I’m running to lead New Jersey in a new direction with honesty, urgency, and independence.
If what you heard tonight resonated, I’m asking for your vote.
Ballots are out. Early voting starts June 3rd. Let’s do this together.

This is wrong and ICE actions should be condemned in the strongest sense. Regardless of your views on ICE, the law is the law—and any facility operating in a New Jersey municipality must follow it. If Delaney Hall doesn’t have proper local authorization, Mayor Baraka had every reason to be there, and every right to demand accountability.
Instead, ICE arrested him. Whether it’s disobeying the Supreme Court, flirting with a third term, or undermining due process, we’re watching lines get crossed in real time. This is a dangerous precedent—and it demands condemnation in the strongest possible terms.
Our campaign is different and about changing NJ bc the status quo political system is broken. We are going direct to the voters and communicating clearly about our vision for NJ. Join us! https://t.co/fzzg7HjnVH
Thank you @MaketheRoadNJ for a great forum tonight in Passaic County about immigration - NJ has an opportunity to be a leader over the next 4 years but we need a willingness to stand up and not always take the easy political path
Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself. Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November. https://t.co/Tn2TQu5Djo
Today is not a happy day for me. I am devastated at the loss of one of my dear colleagues, a young man that I considered like a son. Donald Payne Jr. was a devoted member of Congress, who despite his ongoing health struggles, worked hard for his constituents every day. Not only did he speak to them from the floor of Congress, he worked in his district to ensure that he was doing everything possible to support a fair and decent quality of life for everyone. I am going to miss him for his impressive and immaculate dress, and I'm going to miss that smile when I was so-called advising him.
Our plan is to be competitive in every corner of NJ and we will do whatever is necessary to achieve that. There is a ton of time between now and Election Day, however, I know for certain that we will have the $$ to compete at a higher level than most candidates, we are clearly outlining the policies we will implement to improve NJ at a higher level than most, we have a huge number of volunteers already signed up at https://t.co/PV9RDY22EG, and a large number of endorsers/validators already public with more in cue.
New: @StevenFulop wins governor's race endorsements from 21 former NJ mayors, including the one he unseated in 2013 and a conservative Republican, '01 gubernatorial candidate Bret Schundler.
