Zootopia is also copaganda yes. Paw Patrol is copaganda too. Copaganda isn't defined by being "serious" or accurate. It's purposely inaccurate because it's media that is intended to positively influence the public's feelings about cops which requires lying about what they do
@nulledflame@slxthkween@Akitron Yes. You don’t know this about her, but when I astral projected into her dreams last night, she had this bizarre fantasy of being one of the babies in those 16 and Pregnant reality shows . Weird stuff
“Male actors are very smart and female actresses cannot be trusted to act, so the actor tricked the actress who is also dumb and fell for the trick.” This genre of film fact needs to fucking die.
"yeah so "getting Shanghaied" came from people getting snatched up and shipped off to China back in the day"
"wow that sounds really disorienting"
"It's extremely Orienting, actually"
@vaultlena@PikkuProgram You’re so right. Religious complimentarianism is never truly equality, and when these religious texts elaborate on the roles necessary to create harmony, it becomes immediately obvious that women are being placed in a subservient role
Bad characters that are bad people are great for narratives but turn into sheer annoyances when nothing 'bad' that they do means anything. That's when it starts to feel like character favoritism.
i've seen a big problem where a villain/antagonistic character is revealed to have a sad/sympathetic backstory and the fandom immediately assumes the backstory presentation is trying to *justify* the villain's actions and ends up getting angry over it
