I looked forward to Friday nights as a 7 year old kid, as on our street the illegal video man allowed us to watch films that were on at the cinema for a rental price before he was raided. But also, on Friday nights back then, the pop man dropped off bottles of dandelion & burdock. Fridays were the only time we were allowed chocolate too, and my favourite was Fry’s Five Centres. 1986 was my favourite year as a kid. Happy times.

Just watched Andy Burnham’s first Question Time. The one thing I picked up was yet another summit, this one a “wildfire summit.” What is it with summits and the Labour Party? The last Prime Minister did exactly the same. Additionally, it should be an “arson” summit, as 99% of this summer’s tiny fires (in comparison with elsewhere) were started by arsonists, probably lefties, too. #SameShit

It is our considered view that commissioned officers of the Armed Forces have failed, collectively, to uphold the values and standards which they have required of those under their command. We have waited for serving officers to speak openly against what we regard as an ideology that has taken hold across the Royal Navy, the Army and the Royal Air Force. In our judgement that leadership has not been forthcoming. While we acknowledge that individual officers continue to serve with integrity, we no longer have collective confidence in the officers we once did. We believe that, taken as a body, it has failed in its duty to the nation.
