@WheelofTimeLove Could be the channeler's intentions, Moghedien didn't blast the whole ship Nynaeve was on but she hit some people, but Rand managed to wipe out an entire palace. Jeaine Caide only wanted to get to Nynaeve, so maybe that's why only pieces of the palace were destroyed

@TarenFerry The Two Rivers is best, but they're all amazing. The Tower plotline is special for me because Siuan is one of my absolute favorites. And it's undeniable that this plotline is a game changer for the rest of the series. So much revolves around it because of what happened in TSR

@DanielBGreene It's never down to just one work of literature. Probably helped solidify SF, but the pulp magazines of the late 19th century were much more influential in doing that and then there's H G Wells also. This topic is a whole PhD thesis, and since mine is on fantasy, I'll stay silent
