@herobasketball@CIFSS I donโt disagree with you at all. So to my point, I believe CIF has the chance to draw a line in the sand here and protect education based athletics.
Iโll say it. This is an embarrassment to high school baseball. A direct slap in the face to so many stakeholders, who work year round to make high school baseball what it is. What an absolute joke of a school and club program. I hope @CIFSS steps up to the plate and takes action.
BREAKING: The Ganesha baseball team is expected to have several players missing for Saturday's game against Loyola for the CIF-SS Division 2 championship at LoanMart Field in Rancho Cucamonga, including star pitcher Logan Schmidt, an LSU commit who is expected to be a MLB first round draft pick, sources are telling me on the condition of anonymity.
Nearly the entire starting lineup will be at an out-of-state BPA (Baseball Performance Academy) camp that was previously scheduled, I am told.
Nearly all of Ganesha's baseball players are part of Ganesha's online line program, and also part of the BPA Academy.
Ganesha athletic director Don Cayer would not comment, other than to say they're scheduled to play on Saturday.
Ganesha coach Jared Sadler has not returned calls or text messages ....
Ganesha is expected to field a team for Saturday's championship against Loyola, but nearly all of the top players will be missing, I'm told.
Ganesha asked the CIF-SS if they could play on Friday, but was denied.
This is fluid. More to come.
@herobasketball@CIFSS Stakeholders as in all the people (coaches, players, parents, administrators, alumni, etc) that bust their butts every day and pour so much of their time, energy, attention, finances into high school baseball.
Orange defeated Anaheim yesterday, 15-0, to clinch the Grove League championship. Evan Gonzalez pitched a complete game, and had 3 hits including 2 doubles.
Grove League Champs. 12th league title in school history. Itโs hard to put into words what these seniors mean to me and what theyโve been through. Theyโve made me a better coach and a better man. #JobsNotFinished
@drivelinekyle Yeah 8-10k isnโt that bad. They do a lot, perfect the concrete, cut to exact specs, glue. Definitely would look great putting that kind of money down! But hard to beat the price of a horse mat!
@crownoverfirm Nope. I had done half the dugout prior. Moved the 1 year old ones to visitor side and put all new in our side. The used were still in very good condition. The spikes donโt pierce them.
I once got quoted 8-10k for dugout flooring. Check your local tractor supply or equestrian centers for horse mats. 6โ x 4โ. About $75-$100 each. We needed 25 for our dugout. No glue needed. They are heavy and donโt move. Very durable. ๐ก
Evan Gonzalez (26โ) in his first year of pitching has been dominant through 3 starts.
14.2 IP, 8 hits, 3 ER, 14 Ks, 3 BB, 1.42 ERA, .750 WHIP.

Still looking for a home next year. Great kid. Future is bright. DMs open
