The last Russian oil tanker docked in Havana on March 30.

– Russia previously supplied roughly 1 out of every 8 barrels Cuba needed monthly

– That 1-in-8 supply line disappeared — not from sanctions, not from a deal collapsing — Russia just stopped showing up

– Six weeks of silence later, the CIA Director's plane landed in Havana

– This is only the second CIA director visit to Cuba since the 1959 revolution

– John Ratcliffe met with Cuban Interior Ministry officials and Raúl Castro's grandson

– The U.S. offer on the table: $100 million in humanitarian aid through the Catholic Church and NGOs

– The price attached: fundamental changes to Cuba's communist system

– Cuban President Díaz-Canel's response: "It will encounter no obstacles or ingratitude"

– That is as close to "yes" as a communist government says out loud

Russia didn't negotiate Cuba away. It just forgot to refuel the island and walked off.

The U.S. didn't break 65 years of frozen relations with diplomacy or pressure campaigns.

UPDATE: The man seen throwing chunks of concrete at Border Patrol vehicles in LA last summer has pleaded guilty to felony assault on a federal officer w/ a deadly weapon causing bodily injury.

He will be sentenced at a hearing on August 7th & faces up to 20 years in fed prison.
