Last night was the last candidate forum of my campaign. Thank you to ConservativesOf for another opportunity to speak to Idahoans about why I am running and how I will serve the people of District 9. With only seven days left I am going to run through the finish line. We will be out door knocking every day except Sunday.

I hope to earn your vote for the election on May 19th and every day after that. Idaho must be protected and handed to you children in a better place than it was handed to us. Send me to Boise to hold power to account, eliminate taxes, cut the budget, and protect all life.

It’s time for servant lawmakers who aren’t propped up by the Good Ol Boys club or big corporate donors. It’s time District 9 has someone who’s willing to put in the work. There has been a clear distinction between my campaign vs Rep Boyle’s; I am working to earn every single vote, whereas Rep Boyle expects you to vote for her because of her reputation and being the incumbent. At candidate forum after forum I always brought literature and signs, while she brought little or none. Because I don’t have a record to point to, I only have my actions to show you just how important I see this race and how hard I am willing to work to meet each of you and to earn your vote.

We may disagree on issues, and in fact I know many of you are passionate about issues that I don’t have the same level of passion for or am an expert in, I hope that through my transparency you see someone who’s going represent you well in Boise. Being a lawmaker in Boise means that I am a servant and representative FOR you.

If they aren’t going to hear this, Idaho needs to bar CDL holders from California, Washington, NY, etc from using Idaho roads. Idaho’s government has a duty to protect Idahoans, and allowing unqualified drivers on our roads will get people hurt and killed.

Billionaires buying Idaho public lands. This story epitomizes all that is wrong and destroying our culture. We are watching a system the drowns the common man in debt and regulation, while the unique business opportunities open to wealthy and high-tech companies are not open to us. Please understand the significance of the fact that Google has access to my credit card purchase records, but a rancher outside my hometown of Lewiston is unable to sell a steak at a local restaurant without a federal inspection. My TV is listening to the conversations in my home. My phone and soon my car form one of the largest surveillance networks known to man, harvesting data about every aspect of my life, but if me and my buddies built a car in a shop from scratch it will violate countless regulations and only a multibillion dollar corporation can even contemplate the construction of a "street legal" car. The guy across the hall from me literally builds cars for fun, but they aren't street legal and even though he could functionally build a perfectly serviceable car, he could never access the market that he has the functional skills to serve. As I type this draft in my email provider, Microsoft, is reading it.
I am game to take another try. I need help. I campaigned to the maximum that a working husband and father could. I put 9,000 miles on the family rig. I built amazing relationships across the state and met countless people. I am not a lawyer or a politician. I am common man who saw a desperate need and made the effort. There were many naysayers. I ended up spending about $37,000 to $40,000 on my campaign. I got about $12,000 in contributions and contributed the remainder myself. I got second place, 33,197 votes. I am a successful, hard-working middle-class family man. I am not wealthy. I spent about $1 for every vote I got. Jim Risch spent $10 for every vote he got. To win, he spent $1.5 million getting just over 150,000 votes. I couldn't afford mainstream newspaper ads, TV ads, YouTube ads or Spotify ads. I had to shut down nearly all my Facebook advertising on May 8th to spend my last $5,000 on electronic billboards. I was outspent 10 to 1 by skilled political operatives funding by huge donors, nearly all out of state. I couldn't afford a treasurer and have been doing all my own books. I'm trying to close them, and believe me, it is not fun. To do this again, I need your help. I am winding down my campaign. I'm going to front enough money to keep my email account, Facebook account, X account and website running one more month. If you want to see Idaho stay Idaho, you need to sacrifice to help the people trying to take on the system. I need help. I need funds for the next race. -Josh Roy

I am at a beautiful Memorial Day service in Lakeway, TX. Several hundred folks in attendance, median age is comfortably over 60. By my count only seven are under the age of 18. Three of them are my children.

Teach your children their heritage through ritual and remembrance or our nation will cease to exist.
