@ShabazzStuart I don’t disagree on the merits here, but it’s worth challenging the establishment even if you can’t assemble the most representative coalition. We have to test them and see how deep their support is.

@ShabazzStuart Absolutely! I don’t disagree. As a 10yr Oakland resident, it’s shaped my view of how we present ourselves in the city. I wouldn’t entertain a challenge to Simon for example.
Ultimately though, people in nyc want to challenge Jeffries based on his record and support for Israel

But there’s a reason voters are bucking their incumbents to elect new people. The ethnic machines are no longer meeting their needs!
@elaifresh Is she a model candidate for winning back the house in 28, no, that belongs to the Marcy Kapturs of the world. But she does show that the establishment’s set of beliefs does not match where the base is
@elaifresh I had some of the same of the same perceptions from social media, totally fair.
But when I talked to my nyc DSA friends at the core of their operation, she has become a dedicated and thoughtful organizer and let some of those 2020 positions go, and also learned from that time.
