This is @atechieattempts Tom’s daughter. @GEEQL has a new job as SQL DBA for heaven. We love you all, as did he. Please hold us in your prayers. And tell us Tom stories.
@kseniaanske Written? I think we're at 189. Backlog? about 150 partially written. Rattling around in my head? Hah! sooo many there. Working on a private one right now - will get that one done, then bounce between editing existing stuff for the book & finishing research for the next one.
@cathrinew@erinstellato It is? I did? (Blushing) :-) - you’re so welcome. And keep sharing. If you need someone to bounce ideas off of, please know I’d be happy to help, always.
@cathrinew Oh geez I’m glad I read the rest of that, Cathrine! As you can tell from the comments, a lot of us have stories like yours. Yours is told so eloquently, and so well. Thank you so much for sharing it. Like @erinstellato said, at least you have that behind you. :-)
@cathrinew Haven’t even finished reading it - but I’ll bet you’ve already helped more people with this “failure” than with any “success” you might have had in Tennessee. Well done Cathrine, well done.
@kseniaanske Wondered who’d catch that. English and German. Dad’s American, mom’s German, grew up in both places. Dad was Air Force, so we moved around a lot. Oh, and not regular German, Swabian German (think German with a southern drawl, explained here’s an example https://t.co/c6C1hNOsIu
@kseniaanske Oh gosh yes. If I were to write in German,(one of my mother tongues) there are words that would require pages to translate the subtle nuances of.So stuff gets written there.Or gets thoughtfully written in the other language Good idea to listen to the story to see what it wants.
