Keaton Coad of Sports in Kansas caught up with the Topeka-Seaman (5A) Football team this week at practice. The Vikings are lead by 4th year HC Jared Swafford and are sitting at 6-1. Last week the boys took down Basehor Linwood 28-14 and they hope to continue on their momentum into Week 8 against 6-1 Desoto.

What a night Topeka Seaman (5A) volleyball! They are the 2024 UKC League Champions with a 25-1 record on the year. Maegan Mills breaks the all time kills record (1,316) previously set by Camryn Turner. Campbell Chabot breaks the all time assists record (1,433) also previously set by Camryn Turner. #sportsinkansas

B&D Buildings Northeast Kansas Athlete of the Week: Senior Quarterback Max Huston of Topeka Seaman. Huston threw for 276 yards and four touchdowns through the air while rushing for 67 yards (TD). The all-non senior pick last season had 5 TDs in the game over Turner (49-0). Seaman(5A) improved to 3-1. Huston has thrown for 806 yards and 12 touchdowns this season after throwing for over 3,000 yards as a junior last fall. #sportsinkansas
