The mayor of the city with the world’s largest Jewish population is pushing conspiracy theories about “money men” who “move millions in dark money” to “turn us against one another” — and calling them “monsters.” Subtle.
Game 4 is just honestly a brutal watch and it's totally because of the way the series has been officiated for the first three games. Now that they've allowed crazy contact everywhere, neither team knows where the line is and officials are having to make adjustments on the fly.
The @nba should be embarrassed by the officiating in Game 2, Game 3 and now in Game 4 - Miss an obvious goal tending, an obvious basket interference and a BS foul call on KAT
The delay in a ruling is because objectively it is clear that this is a Flagrant 2, but if the League rules it a Flagrant 2, then Wemby is suspended for the next game, which they clearly don’t want to do.
"After the Rangers game, our worst nightmare happened: the elevator to Penn Station wasn’t working.
For most people, that’s an inconvenience. For us, it meant we were completely stuck.
My son Chris is in a 350 lb wheelchair. Without an elevator, there was no way down. No backup plan. No easy solution. Just a crowded, overwhelming situation with no clear way forward.
We stood there, unsure of what to do next.
And then we met Officer Mears.
And everything changed.
He didn’t just point us in a direction or give us instructions. He didn’t rush us or treat us like just another situation to manage.
He stepped in fully.
He personally walked with us—block after block—searching until we finally found a working elevator inside Kmart. He stayed with us the entire time, making sure we were okay, never once making us feel like a burden.
But he didn’t stop there.
He escorted us all the way to the LIRR, went ahead to find out our track before the rush of commuters even knew, brought us down safely, and set up the ramp so Chris could board the train without being overwhelmed by the crowd.
He thought of everything.
Every step of the way, he made sure my son was safe, comfortable, and treated with dignity.
Along the way, he shared that he had worked with people with disabilities for six years before becoming a police officer.
And you could feel it.
His patience.
His awareness.
His kindness.
It wasn’t just training—it was heart.
In a moment that felt stressful and overwhelming, he gave us calm. He gave us help. He gave us reassurance that we weren’t alone.
That night, he didn’t just help us get to a train.
He moved a mountain.
Officer Mears—thank you for seeing us, for walking beside us when we needed it most, and for showing what true compassion looks like in action.
You reminded us that even in difficult moments, there are still people out there who care deeply… and that makes all the difference."

Suck John Mackey’s ruggedly individualistic balls, Mamdani.
The founder of Whole Foods on why capitalism is the greatest idea ever invented: it is the fountainhead of all prosperity.
This apartment is rent stabilized at $985 a month in Flatbush. Because of a 2019 law that Mamdani supports, they can't raise rents after bringing this apartment up to code so they can't afford to/are going bankrupt. This is the consequence of the very policies the Mayor supports
@DanSchneierNFL The giants are pathetic I really just can’t watch this team anymore and I really shouldn’t even care. They do not deserve our time. Winning these last two meaningless games is just brutal.
The NYT is a political propaganda machine, selling anger to unhealthy people, more than anything approaching real journalism at this point. Which is a shame, because real journalism can actually be quite valuable.
Luckily, I don't know anyone who takes them seriously at this point (other than a few people over 60 on the east coast).
Dealbook seems to have a different culture somehow (credit to @andrewrsorkin).
One of the best gifts you can give your friends and family this holiday season is to unsubscribe from the NYT. 🎄
