Gamma Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity was chartered on August 24, 1941. For more than eighty years, GGL has served the Upstate of SC.

We had a great tailgate event with Alpha Gents and Upstate brothers. We even saw eldest brother Bro. We even saw eldest brother Bro. Fred Bostic (72 years an Alpha) come by and fellowship . Many thanks to our committee and the young men who attended.

GGL and their families enjoyed a great fellowship with the NPHC Greater Greenville and their annual Greek Cookout held in Simpsonville, South Carolina, at the old Black fairgrounds. More than 100 people celebrated this annual event, which lasted from 4- 9 PM on Aug 22

Several ΓΓΛ Brothers volunteered for one of the Local Voter Registration Efforts held at Belthlem United Baptist Church in Greenville, SC, on July 18th. These events align with our "Voterless People is a Hopeless People" National project.

We had an incredible Joseph Vaughan Oratorical Competition with six exceptional orators and inspiring speeches. We’re proud of our winners and grateful to Legacy Early College, Furman University and GGL Brothers for their support. The event was also streamed for wider access.
