Montgomery County is at a crossroads. Federal layoffs and a housing affordability crisis (worsened by current County Executive Marc Elrich) are squeezing the middle class. We have two paths forward: continue raising taxes, or encourage growth. 2/8
With much at stake in Montgomery County, the choice is clear. Andrew Friedson has what it takes to “guard it well” as County Executive. No other candidate articulates as bold or as coherent a vision for making Montgomery County a better place to live. He’s earned your vote. 7/8
🧵: With Maryland early voting underway, we wanted to remind you why @Andrew_Friedson is worthy of your vote for Montgomery County Executive. He’s demonstrated again and again his unwavering commitment to making the county a more affordable, prosperous place. 1/8
Read our endorsement for more details and vote for @Janeese4DC for mayor – and it’s not too late to donate to her campaign! A gift made at this link will be divided between her and all our DC endorsees 8/8🧵: https://t.co/zVKEKGwJu3
DC! It is less than a week until the primary and it couldn’t be more important to support pro-housing, pro-transit candidates. Thankfully, we have a slate of great endorsees ready to hit the ground running. First up, our endorsed candidate for mayor: @Janeese4DC 1/8🧵:
Undergirding all of this is also a commitment to professionalism and public service. JLG has a big vision and writes that she “will not undermine public trust by nullifying the work of her own agencies” in its pursuit. This would be a breath of fresh air 7/8🧵:
Hiring for public service roles in the Washington region – especially urban planning, housing, environmental, and related roles?? GGWash has a career board for that. Post your job here: https://t.co/GtVK7uDQAW
Congrats @ggwash on winning an APTA Local Coalition Grant! DC TEN will use the funds to roll out the narrative-setting strategy around the "transportation time tax," that will give language to the experience of transit trips taking longer than car trips.

“There should be enough housing stock for those below median poverty levels, as well as those just out of college or young families looking for starter homes.”
GGWash is proud to endorse leaders who will help Prince George’s County lower costs by building more housing, supporting transit, and giving people more and better choices on where to live. Find our full endorsement write-ups on our elections hub: https://t.co/tgJuSEJiWg
“Better public transit, biking, pedestrian safety, supporting urbanist principles and increasing housing and density, transit-oriented development…matter to me.”
