@zoe_blue_@USAOWTC Can't believe that Tom was even disgusted at Dana because she was educated and able to read. I'm glad that's one thing our society is passed. Our education is something deeply valued and everyone deserves a right to it. @USAOWTC#wtckin1
The time travel in the book really puts everything into perspective. I can't imagine how Dana must have felt. The fact that slave owners actually treated human beings like that is disgusting to think about. @USAOWTC#wtckin1
@Hugo51327417@USAOWTC I agree, this type of art gives the opportunity to be as creative as you want. It's interesting to see what happens when there really isn't any rules to abide by. @usaowtc#wtcisms
In the reading it states that a prerequisite of surrealism is absolute freedom of the spirit. In way sounds kind of scary, because you never know where that could lead to. On the other hand I like the idea of all the creativity this art involves. @USAOWTC#wtcisms
“The more the worker by his labor appropriates the external world, the more he deprives himself of the
means of life”. Marx explains that the more tied to labor a person is, the less connected they become with the stuff that makes us human. @USAOWTC#wtcmarx
@McKennaBradsha3@USAOWTC I agree that this is still a controversial topic for some people today. We’ve come along ways since this was written, but many people still have so many questions. @USAOWTC#wtcdar
Even though this was a very controversial topic, Darwin’s idea that a species needs to be able to grow and adapt to be successful was the right concept. @USAOWTC#wtcdar
@AbdelNait2@USAOWTC I didn’t know anything about post-Impressionism until I read this article either. I loved the pieces that came from this time period! They were fun to look at compared to some of the artwork we’ve looked at this semester. @USAOWTC#wtcpostimp
When looking at these paintings you can really see how the post-impressionist artists were really trying to evoke emotion as oppose to real life objects. This idea made these paintings very intriguing to look at. Especially The Holy Virgin Mary painting. @USAOWTC#wtcpostimp
I really enjoyed looking at Monet’s artwork. The haystacks at different times of the day were very different than any of the other paintings we have looked at so far. It’s cool how he could take one idea and make so many beautiful paintings out of it. @USAOWTC#wtclmp
@McKennaBradsha3@USAOWTC Instead of stepping up and taking responsibility for his actions, Victor let everyone down. Who knows how the story could've ended if Victor would've cared for his creation. @USAOWTC#WTCFrank2
This just goes to show that when you make bad decisions and don't think things through that it can not only have a negative effect on you, but everyone around you as well. Victor hurt himself, the monster, and caused pain to everyone he loved. @USAOWTC#wtcfrank2
@Haha_yes_same@USAOWTC It was awful! I felt so bad for the monster the whole time. If Victor would have stayed by his side and made him feel accepted I think things would’ve turned out a lot differently. It shows that all people truly want is to feel accepted and loved by others. @USAOWTC#wtcfrank1
In a way I feel like Victor is being selfish for creating the monster. He was overcome by his emotions and didn’t think of any of the consequences to follow. Then he proceeds to abandon his creation which only makes his decision worse. #wtcfrank1@USAOWTC
@kp_wtc3@USAOWTC It’s crazy how things have changed over time because if this pamphlet were to be sent out today I really don’t think he would’ve been expelled or questioned at all. @USAOWTC#wtcpbs
Definitely don’t agree with Shelley’s opinion that you can’t believe something unless you experience it yourself. If we can’t have faith then where’s the hope? @USAOWTC#wtcpbs
