@tmtfc206@Xhr0l@_bismack_ There's probably not insane demand for this given that the card is 15 bucks or so. But regardless it's not like some random stamped power keepers card psa 8 that people are saying OMG LOW POP LOOK ONLY 6 IN EXISTENCE!
@tmtfc206@Xhr0l@_bismack_ You could argue that the gacha companies are running up the bid on everything making it absurdly expensive but it's not purely because it's low pop, it just fits what PSA 10 rev holos are going for.
It's unique, it comes from one the few popular sets immediately after wotc etc.
@brocknotbroke@Collector_Crypt On select low population chase cards, yes, absolutely. These are now essentially off the market for the majority of those not willing to dip their feet on chain.
On a PSA 9 holon phantoms stamped pupitar, no. Population is a function of demand and are over valued.
@brocknotbroke@Collector_Crypt It also makes it far more liquid because you just sell it back cc for like 85% if they want it if you bought it on their marketplace.
The problem is, who cares about a stamped random mon that has one sale at 500 OTHER THAN the exchange.
@Blackheart_Opus@unfunnymeat Realistically, had the guy
1. Not take the discord call
2. Even if he took the call, just said he was figure head
3. Immediately donated the money once people found and
4. Just owned up to it
He never would have gotten cancelled. He had a clean reputation 2/2
@Blackheart_Opus@unfunnymeat The tldr is that he was called out for not donating money he received for Alzheimer's research. He knew about it for at least a year. He solicited additional donations during this time too.
1/2
@Kramaramb @vaultedid @Courtyard_io Really doubt it is courtyard though. They run their own internal bots (Giovanni and a number of others (binder guy)).
Those bots just place low bids and hope users dump into them. It's a win-win scenario for courtyard. They can either sell it or put it back in a pack.
@Kramaramb @vaultedid @Courtyard_io I have no idea
If it's courtyard themselves it looks like there are organic buyers and people can get deals.
If it's a user they may be trying to get points or land in the top 1000(?) for free packs and potentially an airdrop. Potentially also tax writeoffs.
@vaultedid @Courtyard_io Yeah as you can see it's just a guy wash trading.
I would suggest reporting it to their support and labeling it as wash trading.
If you at the first account it probably only transfers and accepts bids from the second account too.
@amanbehumble@Collector_Crypt Not really, they charge 4% both ways so why buy it to flip for 10 bucks. Japanese cards are slow movers on these sites.
I don't know why they don't just include the fee in the purchase price to start with.
@andy8052 I realized this months ago but I think the real question is how does this play out. The crypto platforms, are, objectively way better than eBay/fanatics/ etc.
I think pain is probably in store for everything but with the crypto platforms eating up so much, will it be localized?
