Talk to young people about safety around water. They should never swim in an unsupervised area like lochs, rivers, sea or ponds where there isn’t an adult to help if they get into trouble.

A mate doesn’t let another mate walk home alone, near the water - find a better route home.
Stay safe.
Plan a safe route away from water.
Look after one another.

It was my privilege to handle this Christmas safety media campaign launch for @GHSLifeguards today. If you’d like a helping hand with your campaign, please get in touch.
We're being told lives could be at risk if vandals continue to remove riverside lifebelts.
It's after the Glasgow Humane Society revealed 800 have been thrown into the Clyde this year.
Duncan and Margaret Speirs have been campaigning to install lifebelts with ropes attached, after their son Christopher slipped and drowned in the Clyde in 2016.
They say the acts of the vandals is careless and could result in further tragedies.
🎥: People are being urged not to tamper with the lifebelts along the River Clyde.
🛟: The Glasgow Humane Society’s Don’t Let the Clyde Ruin Christmas campaign comes after around 800 lifebelts were thrown in by vandals this year.
🗣️:Duncan Evans had this message for them 👇
Back on the tools to handle the media launch of the Glasgow Humane Society’s ‘don’t let the Clyde cancel Christmas’ water safety campaign. As party season is upon us, please be careful around the city’s rivers & canals. And don’t vandalise life belts. @GHSLifeguards
