What I’ve written is glowing praise for a sport that I’ve never coached.
In high school, I never attended a cross country meet, ever.
I think I’ve only been to Detweiller once. I had to look up the spelling!

Congratulations to our Cross Country athletes who competed in regionals at Sand Springs today. Cade McCall and Ariah Brese qualified for state. Girls finished 9th and guys 12th overall.
Injury Risk & Recovery - Athletes who are sleep deprived have an elevated risk of musculoskeletal injury and delayed recovery following injuries.
Among NCAA athletes, having sleep difficulties is associated with a 64% increase in injury rate in women & a 123% increase in men.
Being great sounds glamorous, actually doing what it takes to be great....not so glamorous. Go to bed, study hard, drink water, eat vegetables, read, meditate, stretch, think, ice bath, run, pray, then sleep some more. The great ones don’t make sacrifices, they make commitments.
Sleep is the best performance enhancer there is.
It's when your body repairs, recovers, and grows.
For instance, your highest HGH (Human Growth Hormone) output occurs...when you sleep! Don't miss out on your natural hormonal boost by skipping out on sleep.
If you weren’t at volleyball tonight, you absolutely missed out on what may have been the best sporting environment of the last five years. Loved watching these volleyball/soccer hybrid ladies and hearing the student section cheer them on. Can’t wait for the next one!
