I had the absolute pleasure of being part of the just-concluded UN Climate Change Conference (SB62) in Bonn, Germany, a powerful convergence of global minds, negotiators, and climate advocates working to shape the road to COP30 in Belém, Brazil.
From intense negotiation rooms to insightful side events, youth negotiator talks and trainings, every moment was a reminder of the urgency and responsibility we carry, especially for vulnerable communities.
I’m particularly proud to have represented Uganda and to witness the growing inclusion of youth voices in these high-level spaces.
As we close this chapter, we carry with us renewed energy, clarity, and commitment for the work ahead to COP 30 in Belem- Brazil 🇧🇷
We’re in Mbarara City for the very first Sub-National Youth Parliament 💪🏾✨
With support from @giz_uganda & @EUinUG, young people will debate and amplify issues affecting them in the South Western Region to influence policy.

This morning ,I joined the Rt.Hon Deputy Speaker @Thomas_Tayebwa at the 3rd walk against Malaria.
The Parliamentary Forum on Malaria is doing a tremendous job raising awareness on how we can achieve a Malaria free Society.
NO ONE SHOULD DIE OF MALARIA.
I had the honour of attending a powerful side event at the #ECOSOCYouthForum, held at the UN Headquarters in New York.
The session, titled “Unlocking Financing & Elevating Youth-Led Action on the SDGs”, was hosted by the Youth Empowerment Fund in partnership with CIFRC and the Global Youth Mobilization (GYM).
We explored the financing barriers that young changemakers face—and more importantly, the pathways to overcome them.
One key takeaway? You don’t need to wait for permission to lead change.
Young people are not just the future; we are the NOW. What we need is trust, resources, and a real seat at the decision-making table. That means co-creation, not just consultation.
Let’s build systems that recognize and fund youth-led solutions—especially for marginalized communities.
I’m grateful to be part of this global conversation and to represent a generation that’s bold enough to reimagine the world.
#CaliMbarara25: .@caliuganda is proud to have the Western Subnational Incubation Series today at Mbarara High School (CHAAPA) bringing together students from various schools across the region.
Following the resounding success of the Eastern Series held in Mbale, this Western edition marks the next leg in CALI’s nationwide journey to raise awareness, build climate leadership, and inspire youth-driven climate solutions using creative, inclusive and culturally grounded methods.
Through the Results-Based Financing (RBF) subsidy program under EASP, Ugandans are now accessing affordable energy products like solar water pumps, LPG and electric cookstoves, and solar home systems—all subsidized by the Government of Uganda. #ElectricityForAll@rbaguma608

Uganda is taking a bold step toward sustainable transport with the launch of an EV charging station at Amber House, marking the first public institution to install one ~ David Otieno (@giz_uganda) representative #UgandaEVLaunch
The transport sector is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. While e-mobility adoption is still far from its full potential, both locally & globally, we’re glad to see progress taking shape.
