Wow. I thought that it was wrong for him to stab a kid to death but now that I see these videos of Karmelo smiling and stuff I’ve realized that actually he should have been allowed to murder whoever he wanted. I apologize for my error.
Folks, we're dealing with a fraction of a percentage point difference, there's still hundreds of thousands of votes outstanding, and LA officials have given us the next 3 weeks to count! Let's git-r-dun!
@OilCoIntern This basically describes my life trajectory to this point. My husband was conservative when I met him, but 10 years and 2 kids later, I’m more conservative than him
@Pat_Stedman I think the reason why people think it’s not intellectually stimulating is because they equate it to being a child care worker or a maid.
child rearing does not = professional child care
Homemaking does not = being a house cleaner
with your kids/home, it’s not the same
@bearwithmestp@darkacademician Are you French? A huge % if working French work in government, which is not productive economically. Another huge % of French don’t work. https://t.co/xmWNXLUVXo
@Pat_Stedman I’m a stay at home mom. Of course I work hard all day, but to feminists that’s not “working.” Which is fine, but saying “[married] women back then worked!” is a double standard.
@Pat_Stedman My husband is an entrepreneur and I’m a SAHM. As an ex marketer and web developer, I could easily work in his business and make an impact. But I don’t have the time or desire. My kids need me right now and I don’t find caring for them beneath my intellectual capabilities.
@Pat_Stedman Furthermore, I’m tired of this “women always worked” narrative because feminists know they only value work of a certain kind: for a money, outside the home. That’s not what most married women did then.
today they wouldn’t call that proper “work,” but back then it was?
My mind was blown when a Russian-born friend of mine introduced me to this perspective about 8 years ago. It never occurred to me that it was a gift to bring life into the world (even if it isn’t always easy).
Now I fully believe this and it makes me so much happier 🥰
I hate how pregnancy is depicted as a negative when in fact it’s the most magical thing in the world.
They say men have it easy because they cant get pregnant but I weirdly feel sorry for them because they can’t experience how amazing it is.
It’s such a blessing.
I hate how women have been brainwashed to resent and fear it.
@BroStalin129@wokal_distance He was calm, unemotional, and didn’t get worked up. He also had his life together which was a good testament to what he was telling me. As in: “his POV must work.”
@BroStalin129@wokal_distance This is how I went from liberal to conservative when I met my now-husband. He was non combative and mostly just asked questions to help me see that my POV didn’t hold water. Of course this requires a woman to say “I was wrong,” and many can’t do that.
