@Ozirus89457@HawkEmDownChris You take Koufax and every human being who saw him pitch during those five seasons agrees with me.
Would you take 5 years of Michael Jordan at his peak over 15 years of Karl Malone?
@jingersol36@Ozirus89457@HawkEmDownChris They gave him a ring but heβs ringless! Okay, whatever. I believe I noted he only played 9 games that season. I fully realize he retired during that season due to a knee injury. But he got a ring.
@Ozirus89457@HawkEmDownChris My eyes decide who is better.
8 Celtics won 7 or more NBA championships (Victory to use your word) . Robert Horry is the only other person to have won at least 7. How many of those nine do you think were great players?
@Ozirus89457@HawkEmDownChris Agree.A flaw with the consistency approach is it rewards some players,in all sports, who are statistical compilers rather than being truly great players. But plainly there has to be a balance.
Sandy Koufax only won 150 games in his career- he is an immortal due to 5 seasons.
@Ozirus89457@HawkEmDownChris Outside the ringless discussion, a player similar to Thompson and from the same era is Bill Walton. Very short peak, but I think very few people now know how good he was.
@Ozirus89457@HawkEmDownChris Elgin Baylor won a championship with the 71-72 Lakers, although he only played in 9 games.
Peak David Thompson was better than each and every guy you mentioned.
@football_pb Itβs been widely reported, including by Ornstein, that Arsenal is in the market for a 6/8 in midfield. You donβt seem to account for that, regardless of the projection as to where Kai and MLS will play.
