CTV News Heather Exner-Pirot:
The U.S. has approved a new cross-border oil pipeline from Canada (Alberta) through Montana to Wyoming.
It reuses part of the old Keystone XL route/pipe on the Canadian side but takes a different route in the U.S.
Planned capacity: 450k–550k barrels per day (could grow to 1 million).
Could be operating by ~2029.
This adds significant new export capacity for Canadian oil, supporting more production and North American energy security.
Total Capacity being added via:
🌊 Enbridge Mainline Optimization 500,000
🌊 Transmountain Optimization 450,000
🌊 South Bow/Bridger 500,000
Total approx. 1.3 million - 1.5 million BPD Increase
and grow further over 2.0 million... 🔥
