GLP Nonprofit to Give Away 200 Turkeys to Local Families in Need
GLP Nonprofit is helping make the holiday season brighter for families with a large-scale community turkey giveaway. A total of 200 turkeys will be distributed to low-income households on Saturday, November 22, ensuring more families can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
The event is powered by Green Life Produce, Green Life Productions, and G&C Flooring Pros, whose generosity and continued commitment to giving back have made this effort possible. Each of these companies has built a strong reputation for supporting local families, and this holiday initiative is another example of their dedication to the community they serve.
The giveaway will be held at the Green Life Produce's Locals Only market, located at 6640 Hawkins Way, from 10 a.m. to noon, or until all turkeys are handed out. Distribution will be first come, first served.
To qualify, recipients must present a SNAP card and ID. No additional paperwork or registration is required.
Organizers hope the event will help ease the burden for families facing higher grocery costs during the holiday season and remind residents that community support remains strong in Pahrump.
Qualified families are encouraged to arrive early, as supplies are limited.
I don’t support over regulation and taxation and believe everyone should be able to grow this plant in their back yard at some level but I call a spade a spade.
To start let’s please stop using the word “intoxicating hemp” it is an oxymoron by any definition.
Stay quiet if you can’t tell me the difference between intoxicating hemp and the cannabis I’m over regulated and over taxed growing in my state licensed facility.
For the record I’m pro industrial hemp, pro home grows and have no issues with non psychoactive cannabinoids derived from hemp (mostly as byproducts). I also think the total thc should be raised to 1% so farmers don’t loose crops. I think they should be able and have to sell cannabinoids to cannabis licensed production and not shady retail smoke shops.
Or let me sell my “weed” like any other commodity and stop over regulating and taxing the state operators.
Here is most of the letter I wrote to our senators earlier this year during legislative session that explains it from my perspective.
It’s all cannabis sativa with different
varieties or cultivars that have different chemical composition (chemotype), morphology and therefore different intended uses.
Historically hemp has been bred and grown primarily for seed, fiber and textiles while “Marijuana” has been bred and grown for its psychoactive and non-psychoactive medicinal properties.
With the discovery of non psychoactive cannabinoids like Cbd, Cbg and others, the word hemp was more or less redefined as cannabis containing less than .3 thc (non psychoactive) and not defined by its intended use or purpose.
The 2018 farm bill was intended to draw a clear line between “Hemp” and “Marijuana” and on one side is psychoactive and the other side non-psychoactive. The current thca or “intoxicating hemp” loop hole isn’t a loop hole at all but more or less a lack of understanding that led to a lack of enforcement.

Topped off our beds with some oak wood chips this cycle vs our typical living mulch or “cover crops”. We like to do this once a year around this time to get a fresh start. The fungi always appreciate it and will be fruiting in the next 2-3 weeks as we begin flowering. This room has only been lightly top dressed with alfalfa and sunflower hull ash (no sulfates). As far as teas it’s had 3 compost tea foliars with a compost extract drench and Protozoa infusion. Zero oils were sprayed in this room no neem, no sufoilx, no essentials, nothing but compost tea. 41st cycle no till living organic soil.
Thank you to our partners @bbarhpremiummeats for providing amazing beef 🥩 we’re super excited for 2025 💚 #PAHRUMP#NEVADA
We got a fresh drop last week. We have their cheeses back in stock, Uncured bacon , some amazing 2 lb + ribeyes , New Yorks , tbone and porterhouses 💚

We had a great time at the #RegenerativeNexus held by @greencoverseed , speakers, food and venue was all top notch and I would definitely give it a 10/10. Thanks to the growmie @centralcoastletitgrow for staying on us and making sure that we attended this important event.
We were by far the smallest group in the room but gained the most perspective and learned tons from farmers doing it at scale. When I say scale I mean hundredths of thousands of acres 🤯
What we left with overall was how important the education aspect of this movement still is, not just educating farmers and producers but also the public/consumers in general and giving them an outlet to consume regenerative products.
Also we left with more hope than we have felt in years seeing so many farmers at scale looking this direction and converting from conventional to regenerative methods 💚
We’re excited and recharged to be fighting the good fight in 2025 💪

One of the coolest things we noticed when we began using bottom less pots, was that you can better see the importance of leaving roots in the system for microbes to break down and complete their life cycle. When we see mushrooms in our beds 99% of the time it’s in a dead decomposing pot and if we see them in beds it’s usually directly under “dead” pots that are full of mushrooms. In my experience when removing roots before they breakdown you remove a large part of the plants contributions to the soils microbiome. Most people will consider the life cycle of their cash crop and not the life cycles in their soil. In this case you end up growing in a dying soil on life support, constantly having to reinoculate microorganisms that would otherwise live and grow in population without intervention. Here you’ll see us brewing a compost tea to foliar (ipm) a freshly planted room and afterwards we’ll extract some soil/mushrooms to drench the rest into our beds. This is to balance and push the system but never to keep it alive, that’s what plants do. Grow soil not just plants
