Coercion, humiliation, and non-consensual procedures during birth are forms of obstetric violence and it is VAWG.

It happens because women’s voices are dismissed, their pain ignored, and their bodies controlled.

@NHSscw can you please shed some light on whether or not you are accepting birth notification forms directly from mothers who choose not to opt-in to NHS care in order for them to comply with the law? Or are you forcing them to engage in an optional system?
