@thecostofwork@byHeatherLong I have actually reached a point where I think Medicare for all would be less damaging than what we have now, because unfortunately getting to free market healthcare is a pipe dream.
@thecostofwork@byHeatherLong From my view it reinforces the absurdity of US system of health coverage via employer. It may be the stupidest policy we have. The lack of transparency &market distortions is awful. Creates impression of employers as the problem when it is primarily govt regulation of healthcare
@thecostofwork@byHeatherLong Total compensation, including health coverage is a much better measure
Rising health costs are eating major part of employee total compensation gains.
@byHeatherLong@JessicaBRiedl The Fed says its target is 2% (a magical voodoo number in the 1st place but a separate topic)
How do members of the Board keep their jobs given results? Not only keep their jobs but prosper!
There is not a less accountable entity on earth. Less than even our atrocious Congress!
At one point in my life, I thought that we couldn't possibly get a bigger piece of garbage of a human being as a speaker than Nancy Pelosi

You cannot even put into words how contemptible this man is

It's not new. And it always leads the purges and the gulag.
@JohnHCochrane Statists have been clear about this for decades now what their goals are to those who have paid attention.
It is radical egalitarianism, except for the ruling class of course.
@jacques_jams Hischier you are not happy with because he's a captain who hasn't led his team to the playoffs but Larkin, who is a captain who also hasn't led his team to the playoffs is aok?
This man stayed perfectly still long enough for a hummingbird to feed directly from the palm of his hand. Considering a hummingbird's heart can beat over 1,200 times per minute, earning that level of trust from one is pretty incredible.
@Dios_svk I'd allow an exception. Russians who are willing to sign a statement that the invasion of Ukraine is a violation of international law, Russia should immediately withdraw it's troops, restore borders and is liable to Ukraine for war damages, they can enter
