CM @Naveen_Odisha has announced a cash award of ₹1.5 Cr for #Odisha’s star Javelin athlete #KishoreKumarJena who has clinched a silver medal at the ongoing #AsianGames at Hangzhou, China. With a personal best of 87.54m, Kishore has also qualified for the Paris Olympics. #OdishaForSports

CM has assured all support for Kishore for his Olympics preparation next year. CM said that the cash award is in recognition of his stellar performance, perseverance & determination. Congratulating him, CM said that Kishore’s triumph not only reflects personal excellence but also serves as an inspiration for budding athletes across the country.

The construction of an intake well inside the Hirakud reservoir, located at Chhadarama, is currently underway. Upon completion, this intake structure will facilitate drinking water supply to all three municipalities and 42 GPs of Jharsuguda district.
