Yesterday's Campaign successfully united leaders to bridge the gap between youth voices and policy action. Discussions highlighted urgent needs for youth-friendly health services and legal reforms. We deeply thank AUDA-NEPAD and ECSA-HC for facilitating the dialogue.
This morning at the Four Points by Sheraton Kampala, I had the honour of launching the Inter-Ministerial Youth Dialogue in Uganda.
We convened to strengthen cross-sector collaboration and reaffirm our shared commitment to advancing the health, wellbeing, and future of young people, while unlocking Uganda’s full potential.
With over 60% of Africa’s population under 25, the demographic dividend presents a historic opportunity—one that requires urgent and sustained investment in sexual and reproductive health, mental health services, youth friendly care, and meaningful youth participation in decision making.
This dialogue is a call to action:
Strengthen domestic financing and accountability.
Expand inclusive and accessible youth services.
Deepen partnerships across government, civil society, private sector, and development partners.
Ensure young people are not just beneficiaries, but partners and leaders
As we often affirm: “Nothing for youth, without youth.”
Young people are already shaping today through innovation, resilience, and leadership.
This is more than a dialogue it is a commitment to action, partnership, and transformation.
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3
Some choices aren't made out of desire, but out of the fear of being left behind. This story grew from that thought. I'd love to know what it made you feel.
@Drgorretteivana reminded us not to use our own money as transport to destroy our dignity and be sinned on 😆😂. I explained the essence of this talk and also thanked the ladies for showing up because the event wouldn't have been a success without them .
