An Islamic Crescent Moon display has been put up in Roswell, Georgia by the local mosque in Heart of Roswell Park

For those who don’t know, the Crescent Moon is not mentioned in the Quran as a religious symbol or emblem of Islam

It was used when Muslims conquered Christianity in Turkey, When the Ottoman Turks (Muslims) conquered Constantinople in 1453, they adopted the Crescent Moon to legitimize their rule along with other elements

It then became widely associated with Islam through the Ottoman Empire’s influence as Muslim power grew for centuries
