Today is a day to celebrate #Peace and #Unity in #Europe, and we wish our European friends a happy Europe day!

79 years ago on this day, the Allied Powers accepted the surrender of Nazi Germany, bringing #WorldWarTwo in Europe to an end.

75 years ago today the @coe was founded after the signing of Treaty of London in 1949. From 10 signatories to 46, the members of the @coe have fought to uphold #HumanRights, #Democracy, and #RuleOfLaw in #Europe.
