Fish ecologist @SLUwildresearch studying ecology & evolution in northern lakes. Eco-evolutionary feedbacks in food webs, ecological speciation, all things trout
Sötvattenfiskarna har stor betydelse både för matförsörjningen och ekosystemen, men det glöms ofta bort när vattenkraftdammar ska byggas eller vid annan exploatering. Därför måste världen ta varningarna på allvar.

Thanks to Linnea Jägrud and Dan Calderon, we are reintroducing sturgeons in Swedish waters! The Return of the Sturgeon is a unique project aiming to fix past mistakes and give back to Mother Nature. We are thrilled to track these cuties as they explore their ‘ancestral’ home. =)

Lake whitefish are a true denizen of the deep. They are a coldwater fish that only live in the deepest and clearest lakes in Minnesota.
And their fins are spectacular!

I'm so proud of @StephABlain new meta-analysis I supervised. Her research is truly impressive, I firmly believe it will shed light on aspects related to the repeatability of Coregonus and Salvelinus divergence. It's a must-read! @C_Adams1758@DolphSchluter https://t.co/CojkM915Zm
Sean Konrad was fishing Lake Diefenbaker in Saskatchewan, Canada on 3/27/10 when he landed this 11.40-kilogram (25-pound, 2-ounce) burbot. This record burbot struck a herring and was landed after a 20-min fight, setting the IGFA All-Tackle World Record for the species.
PhD-student position to apply for! The project, with a focus on land-water interactions, is financed by @Vetenskapsradet and will be carried out in @Krycklan1 Let's go, it will be fun! @KuglerovaStRipE@umeauniversitet @_SLU https://t.co/wenNVFGdvB

How does minnow affect Arctic charr and brown trout? Help us figure this out! See https://t.co/tmha06lL48 Sample fish populations in Abisko this summer and compare diet, habitat use, growth and size distribution of fish in lakes where minnow is present or not.
