"Reflecting on Trust and Safety"
The poignant image captures a moment of hope and anticipation, soon overshadowed by tragedy aboard the ill-fated Air India's Dreamliner. A family's aspirations are cut short, leaving behind questions of accountability and responsibility.
In the aftermath, the blame game begins. Was it a lapse in procedure by Air India or a flaw in the design by Boeing? Pilot error or mechanical failure? Was it a drag or stall? The unsettling truth remains – someone fell short in ensuring safety, leading to a devastating loss of over 240++ lives.
As investigations unfold, the focus shifts to lessons learned. Yet, can mere simulations mend the broken trust? Will the upcoming Air Crash Investigation episodes truly address the underlying issues?
Passengers entrust their lives to airlines, while carriers thrive on this very trust. But, amidst profit margins and operational demands, does safety take precedence over all else? How do airlines uphold their duty to safeguard passengers' well-being?
In a world where trust and safety intertwine, the aviation industry faces a critical question: How can the bond of trust between passengers and airlines be upheld with unwavering commitment to safety?
@prioritypasscom - Team Priority Pass, I am surprised that there are no Priority Pass Lounges in Jakarta International Departure Terminal 3 and Bangalore International Terminal 2.
Both being prominent trade hubs, its important to have your tie ups with the lounges in these terminals.

My Havells water dispenser which was purchased less than a year has a leakage and we have been trying to call you for 2 days. We are being told to register the complaint first and a technician will come after 4 days to rectify it.
How can you treat customer support as the same for all the home appliances? A water dispenser is one of the prime appliances whereby the entire family depends on for water consumption. Can a family wait without water getting dispensed for 4 days??
Extremely disappointed by this Indian Brand that considers its internal processes ahead of customer delight.
@RailMinIndia@AshwiniVaishnaw Undoubtedly, the Indian Railways now is far better and cleaner. I have seen a huge change in the last 10 years. The most important is having a bio-toilet in almost all the coaches and cleanliness of the station and tracks.
Hon'ble MR Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw took an on-site assessment of local MEMU train Puri-Jaleswar trains, interacted with the passengers, took feedback about the cleanliness of trains & stations.
Most honoured and privileged to be part of yet another closed-door interaction with His Excellency, Shri Sandeep Chakravorty (Indian Ambassador to Indonesia), last evening at an event, memorably organized by Indonesia India Business Forum (IIBF).
That was one of the most compassionate keynote addresses that I have recently listened to, from a charismatic diplomat who was profoundly blended with empathy and inclusiveness.
His address not only gave a huge assurance to the Indian expats residing in Indonesia, but also the vision that he carries towards growing bilateral relations between Indonesia and India, is nothing less than spectacular.
His data points covered the following:
1. Indonesia's fourth largest export & and import partner today, is India, surpassing Singapore & and Malaysia.
2. On an average, half a million tourists from India visit Indonesia, each year. Which speaks of Indonesia's attractive natural resources and growing tourism.
3. Commencement of wide-bodied direct flights connecting Indonesia and India, other than the one recently started by Indigo.
4. More initiatives on the health sector and collaboration between both countries, in terms of core health care and technology associated with the same.
5. Scale in higher education collaborations between Indonesia and India - in terms of joint ventures, academic engagements and cross-border studies.
6. Space technology initiatives to be explored in Indonesia from India, owing to the space tech successes in India from times immemorial, including the recent world record of Chandrayaan 3's landing on the South Pole.
I would love to conclude with a note here that, we in the regular corpor'RAT' race, often miss out on the national vision.
If any of my Indian / Indonesian friends on this forum would like to explore either of the countries' potential in terms of business or collaboration, reach out to me through a message on LinkedIn, and I shall have you connected with the rainmaking diplomats.

Indonesia's "creative economy" has been experiencing significant growth and development in recent years.
The term "creative economy" refers to economic activities that are based on creativity, intellectual property and cultural content. It encompasses a wide range of sectors, including arts and crafts, design, fashion, music, film, advertising, architecture and more.
Above all, one of the initiatives that have been on the whiteboards is an economic collaboration between Indonesia and India to create a ‘greener economy’, as an integral part of the creative economy.
Indonesia announced its commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 29% by 2030 compared to a ‘business-as-usual’ scenario. This commitment was part of the country's efforts to contribute to the Paris Agreement's goal of limiting global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
Zaapko had the honour of meeting His Excellency, Bapak Sandiaga Uno (Minister for Tourism and Economic Creativity – Indonesia) along with His Excellency Shri Sandeep Chakravorty (Honourable Ambassador of India to Indonesia), over a luncheon on Friday, in a closed roundtable organised by Bloomberg Singapore, where we presented our thoughts on how Zaapko could contribute towards a “Greener Indonesia & India" through tech-enabled supply chain management solutions.
Zaapko is excited to be part of the creative economy initiative with the support of the country’s visionary leadership.
