microPEG.plugin()
the mechanism probably goes deeper than people think.
my current theory is that this goes far beyond “just another smaller version” of $uPEG.
it potentially changes the entire supply dynamic of the collection itself.
right now, the system is already fascinating because the theoretical max supply of adult $uPEG is 10,000, but in practice the real supply becomes lower every time someone holds dust below 1 full $uPEG.
someone holding 0.7 $uPEG removes another possible adult from circulation.
same for 0.3.
same for 0.92.
and as price increases, reaching a full 1 $uPEG becomes harder and harder.
which means fragmentation naturally compresses the real adult supply over time.
that mechanism alone was already innovative.
but microPEG.plugin() potentially adds another layer entirely.
what if dust itself becomes productive?
what if sub-1 balances can generate “baby uPEGs”?
we don’t know the exact threshold yet.
maybe 0.1 uPEG.
maybe 0.5.
maybe something dynamic.
but the important part is not the exact number.
the important part is what this does to holder behavior.
suddenly, dust is no longer “unused leftover balance”.
- dust becomes collectible.
- dust becomes strategic.
- dust becomes something people intentionally accumulate.
and paradoxically, that could reduce adult supply even further.
because instead of consolidating fragmented balances into full adults, users may prefer keeping partial balances to farm or maintain baby exposure.
which means:
- more sub-1 holders,
- more fragmented liquidity,
- fewer reachable adult uPEGs.
that’s where the game theory gets extremely interesting.
most NFT collections historically expanded through dilution.
- BAYC created MAYC.
- Azuki created Elementals.
countless others launched secondary collections to extend the ecosystem.
but dilution almost always weakens the original collection culturally and economically.
this feels different.
microPEGs may actually strengthen the scarcity of adult uPEGs instead of weakening it.
the ecosystem expands,
participation expands,
the playable surface expands,
but the adult layer potentially becomes even harder to obtain.
and if that’s really the direction they’re taking, then $uPEG is no longer “just an NFT collection” or “just a token”.
it becomes an evolving onchain game theory system built around liquidity fragmentation itself.
