🧵Sharing one's audacious vision is not only acceptable, it is necessary. There exists a responsibility to one's dream if they truly believe, and desire it become reality.
I reconcile this by tempering temerity with candor.
There is freedom in sincerity.
@actatumonline Par for the course... I don't see anything different here from the countless other times the Con-man in Chief has used the office to benefit himself and those around him.
@TeslaAgnostic@MichaelAArouet He won't.
Why would you expect that he would? Most of the time he doubles down and further entrenches himself, especially confronted with expert opinions, facts, data, etc.
It's basically his modus operandi.
@MichaelAArouet If?
“You’ve been there for three years. You should have ended it. ... You should have never started it. You could have made a deal.”
Those are the words he said during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago on the 18th. There's video, ofc.

@divine_economy This next period won't be great for crypto in the near future imo. When the POTUS launches shitcoins with the full intent on grifting, it doesn't bode well for the space maturing or gaining legitimacy.
NGL though, it is funny watching scammers get scammed regularly now.
We want gov efficiency? Great! Let's move to M4A and UBI by the end of this year. Fire up that sovereign wealth fund while we're at it.
Roll ALL existing social safety nets into a not means tested UBI program.
MUCH efficient. Such wow.
@elonmusk@DOGE@mcuban
Automation tax?
@elonmusk
Release everything, including all docs for DOGE. Walk the walk.
“There should be no need for FOIA requests."
“All government data should be default public for maximum transparency.”
- your words
Or will DOGE docs be obscured behind the Presidential Records Act?
@OfficialBBrooks I doubt that the outcome of what's happening right now will in any way improve the lives of our homeless.
I have yet to see a cogent explanation as to how gutting federal agencies like the VA, DoE, CFPB, etc. to pay for a small part of top income tax breaks help the homeless.
@OfficialBBrooks $10M spent fighting suffering some way in the US is not the same force multiplier that it is abroad either. I'm not saying that helping 10,000 people abroad is more important than 100 here... but rather that we can do both simultaneously.
@OfficialBBrooks I don't believe these things are mutually exclusive...
I'm a vet and have also been homeless. I want to see an end to homelessness in general - not just for veterans, but for all.
These things do not prevent me from also wanting to see us fighting suffering abroad.
Scamming and grifting in the light of day are the new American way.
In a society where shamelessness is considered by many to be a superpower, the decent among us will continue to suffer the successes of the ignoble.
