On 18 June 2026, we responded to a road traffic accident in Bajagarr, Foni Region, involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.

One casualty was stabilized at the scene and safely transported to Bwiam Hospital for further care.

🚑 In less than 5 days, we esponded to another road traffic accident in Bajagarr, Foni Region.

The incident occurred on 21 June 2026 at approximately 22:40 hrs, involving 6 casualties.

Our team provided timely assistance and safely evacuated all casualties to Bwiam Hospital.

Our emergency responders responded to a road traffic accident in Tampoto, Foni, involving 9 casualties.

Our team provided first aid, stabilized the injured, and evacuated all casualties to Sibanor Health Centre. Tragically, an 11-year-old child lost their life.

We responded to a road traffic accident at Ndemban Village, Foni Region, on 1 July.

A total of 21 casualties received immediate first aid and were referred to Bwiam General Hospital and Ndemban Hospital for further treatment.

We are relieved that no fatalities were recorded.

This October, @GambiaRedCross marks 60 years of humanitarian service in The Gambia.

60 years of standing with communities in their most difficult moments, restoring dignity and saving lives.

We are proud of the journey and even more committed to the future.

As part of our humanitarian commitment during Eid al-Adha, we have successfully delivered 15 bulls to vulnerable communities across the country with the financial support of @QRCS.

This initiative aims to support families in need and promote dignity, solidarity, and compassion.

This Eid al-Adha, @GambiaRedCross, with support from the @QRCS, distributed meat to over 450 vulnerable people across the country, bringing smiles, hope, and dignity to families in need.
