@burruyo@etudesdebruits it's totally fine but there are things i find annoying (eg virtually all of the a edition being crammed into endnotes, vorstellung being translated as "presentation" rather than "representation," etc)
@burruyo@etudesdebruits i'm mostly joking, but the hackett edition uses a translation from werner pluhar that has largely been superseded in recent scholarship by cambridge's newer translation from paul guyer and allen wood, two of the most eminent living Kant scholars.
@fearthe_void@TheGreeneBJ The Looming Tower by Lawrence Wright talks a lot about the CIA's foreknowledge of the future hijackers' whereabouts in the US
@JungeToerless Any chance you're in Madison? Ik it's not profound advice but I've had some luck just staying close to my friends from undergrad, meeting their friends, setting up (& constantly reforming and reorganizing) reading groups, etc.
@ratrhmu@Mozi762 Seems pretty clear that it refers to the folk moral beliefs widely held by all humans (if you've engaged with the literature on evolutionary debunking arguments against moral realism, which Cofnas probably shouldn't assume).
