From over 4,000 buses in 2009, Mumbai now has just 2,675—and of those, only 556 are owned by BEST. Nearly 80% of the fleet is on contract (wet lease), and if no new buses are bought, even the owned ones will vanish soon.

Citizens are waiting longer at stops. Routes are being suspended. The BEST we knew is fading—slowly, visibly.

Shocking negligence! I complained about 22 #IAS, #IPS, #IFS, and #IRS officers who joined using bogus certificates, but UPSC refused to act and dumped my #RTI on DoPT (Don’t know when!).
