After watching Rutgers Prep #NJGirlsBasketball beat Gill St. Bernard's for the 24th straight time on Dec. 19, I admit I had to triple check to make sure last night's 64-27 GSB win wasn't a typo. Super impressive job by @GSB_WBB -- first time since 2014 they've beaten the Argos @GSBAthletics
🌧️Gill St. Bernards RAINS down goals to win 6th straight state title!🌧️
On a cold and rainy evening at Franklin HS, GSB was not slowed down by the conditions. Dan Scali set the tone with the first two goals of the match and the Knights poured on five second half goals to score an 8-0 win over Moorestown Friends.

I asked the Head Coach of @USWNT - @emmahayes1 what her experience coaching @ionauniversity meant to her? “I often tell people it’s my fondest memories in coaching. I was there for 3 years and had the most wonderful time. To those Gaels players - I love you to bits!” @ICGaels
In @Paris2024 I think that it is clear, @TeamUSA had an absolute incredible performance during these @Olympics . There is never a games that isn't without controversy, sideline opinions and hecklers - but the results are etched forever in history. This was the first time in that I can remember, that I really screamed and cheered my butt off for these amazing athletes.
Something about these games felt personal, and I wasn't even competing. A hint of uneasiness in Paris - tbh I didn't feel the normal security protocols that we see during an Olympics and perhaps I still have ptsd from our experiences during the post 9/11 Utah Games that was millimeter tight when it comes to security checks and ample servicemen & women in the surrounding areas.
The world has felt fractured at times, our political views & opinions becoming unhinged from sitting down at a table and having raw but respectful conversation. Sport and specifically the Olympic Games intention is to supersede all of this. To stand taller than the noise, the hatred, the "stuff"....
For 2 weeks I've been able to remove most of that noise from my brain (and this algorithm also learned what I was reading, clicking and adjusted in real time - so that helps) and instead focus on:
Sport. Competitiveness. The powerful mind and soul and spirit. The face of tenacity. The teamwork. The laughter and love. The agony of defeat & bouncing back. It was awesome.
Track & Field was quite literally astonishing. To me it is art in motion - the twitchy musculature of the sprinters, the love affair I felt with the motion of the middle and long distance running technique - fluid, with seamless ease like they were floating. The high jumpers, the long jumpers, the discus, hurdles, and of course the relays.
The @usatf women blew me away. Not in only in their beauty but in their physique, their strength. We saw some give all glory to God, some put a stamp of aggression and competitiveness to remind the world that THEY EARNED this.....
Gymnastics! @USAGym Whew, where do I even begin. Part of my love for watching this sport is knowing how hard and often they train. Often in silence, in dangerous situations where the wrong hand placement, or misstep or mental lapse results in something devastating....
They rose to every challenge and the world was watching in awe. Spectacular.
Swimming - @USASwimming Tbh so dominant & as I type, I am shaking my head thinking of Ledecky and how freaking good she really is but still making it look easy.
The mens @usabasketball was the cherry on top. Real life giants who stepped up and unified as Avengers. The entertainment factor of the semi-final and final were just so good.
I think that @NBCOlympics and @peacock did an incredible job showcasing all of these stories and more. A truly bespoke opportunity to watch live, replay, relive these moments, and the close up's on the athletes in their most intimate moments....a conversation with themselves, the head nods, ,the intensity in the eyes, the self talk.....It was perfect.
I hope that all of you were able to even for a 2 minute clip - detach from the world's chaos in a mere moment to enjoy the power of the Olympics. To relish in the moments and to be present as we watched and cheered in awe of their dedication to craft and art. It's never perfect but I love how we cheer for ONE team....Team USA.
Thank you all for your energy into these Games. I feel so alive :-) Enjoy the closing ceremonies and to all of the athletes who represented Team USA and themselves:
Thank you. Each one of you have so much to be proud of and you earned all of it. When you wake up tomorrow a new adventure may await....but for now, live in this moment. Forever
All love!
From last night: Gill St. Bernard’s last game against West Morris was a 7-0 loss in which Julian Tramontano didn’t play.
This time around he was available against West Morris, & scored in OT to cap off a comeback for @GSBAthletics first Haas Cup title.

"The failure to hire women as head coaches of men’s programs, all while consistently hiring men to lead women’s teams, further solidifies the underrepresentation of women in sports leadership."
2023 has seen so much progress, but we still have work to do. https://t.co/GxfqZKXStV
