We've launched into this new Girl Scout year! Are you ready?
Thomas Young, Wildlife Biologist, is at our Launch 2024 educating our Girl Scouts on an Introduction to Wildlife. Mr. Young is educating them on how to be a citizen scientist and how to identify endangered species living in California.
Girl Scouts of Central California South has had the pleasure of working with the Fresno Chaffee Zoo for our Journey in a Day. Their incredible staff has been able to give insight on how the Girl Scouts can live their best lives with sustainability.
Eden and Ayla are back with an update on their day! They are experiencing a Journey in a Day with the Citizen Scientist Journey learning more about elephants, animals, and having their own safari trip!

Not only did Maren from Troop 5150 flex her leadership muscles by running her own pop up shop at our recent Girl Expo, but she then took a portion of her earnings and bought school supplies to donate to teachers at her school. โ๏ธ๐๐
What do Girl Scouts do? The simple answer is they make the world a better place. A BIG shout out to Girl Scout Troops 4038, 5135, 5181,2006 who all participated in Mayors 2024 Community Clean Up Citywide - Beautify Fresno.
As of August 2024, women make up 28% of the U.S. Congress, with 150 female members out of 535 total seats. Specifically, in the U.S. Senate, there are 25 women, comprising 25% of the 100 seats.
If we want more female leaders, we NEED more Girl Scouts.
At Girl Scouts, we combine powerful hands-on learning experiences with the fun of friendship and adventure to spark interests and encourage girls to unlock their unique potential. ๐
Sisterhood of the traveling...patches? ๐One of the most magical parts of Girl Scouting is that no matter where you go, Girl Scouting is the tie that binds. Our GSCCS Girl Scouts are loving giving out our council patches to Girl Scouts across the state of California!
Our Girl Scouts had the incredible opportunity to participate in a panel discussion with California State Treasurer Fiona Ma and Sacramento City Council Members Caity Maple and Karina Talamantes.
Today at the Capitol, Girl Scouts are learning about the importance of advocating in our local communities as well as at the state level on important issues impacting women and girls.
