@Bd_irB_ll I think it’s a good idea. Couldn’t ask for much more besides Marco Silva or maybe Iraola. Or Ole but I think he’s working at MUFC from the shadows.
🚨💣 BREAKING: Anthony Gordon to Barcelona, here we go! Official bid accepted now by Newcastle board and Saudi owners.
€70m fixed fee plus add-ons to bring final package over €80m for #NUFC.
Gordon set to travel this week for medical and contract signing at FCB. 🔵🔴✈️
@CloudyREDS For sure. It happens often and the list is short of coaches who haven’t made an error like it of some degree. It just surprises me when profiling players (never mind the best ones) is seen as harder (or is harder) than improving individuals, final third rotations, etc.
🗣️Fernandinho on how Guardiola fit Aguero into the City team…
It was easy because Pep’s masterclass was finding solutions.
“If you have a player like Aguero, you just can’t throw him away, and he solved it because he built the team for Aguero to make two runs to press and the rest of us used to do the hard part of the work.
“For example, the first season during the goal kick, the players could not receive the ball inside the box yet, so they had to receive the balls outside the boxes. And then, Aguero, he has two runs to do. The first one, if he goes to the defender and the defender passes the ball back to the goalkeeper, Aguero makes that run as well. So, he forces the keeper to play the ball where we were, obviously we knew we were going to press over there.
“Pep prepared the team for him to run as little as possible, to press, and the rest of us, we were much younger and full of energy, we did it for him.”
@TheAthleticFC
@SebC__ What do you mean by “x player is probably the elite ceiling of what academies can engineer. Academies don’t produce ys and zs. They knock at the door because they turn out to live next door”? (Said twice in your Tuchel presentation).
🚨🎙️ | Bruno Fernandes reveals he's tried to get in contact with Roy Keane about his lies:
"I don't mind criticism. I ALWAYS take criticism from everyone and anyone, and I never reply to anything whatsoever. People have an opinion, they think it's good, bad, whatever.
"What I don't like is when people LIE about things. And in this case... basically, what he said is a lie. And luckily for me, it's everything on record.
"IMAGINE if it wasn't. Then people will think like, 'oh yeah, Bruno is the guy always trying to go with the assist'.
I even asked Ole [Solskjær] for his number to text him, to be HONEST, to have a word with him, to SAY, that I don't mind the criticism, I don't like when people lie about things that I say.
"Because this is like, goes a little bit over the top of the things that I think are acceptable."

I’d ask him one question - Why did you play Bellingham deep? And it would have to be one unbelievable answer for him to make it to the next stage of the hiring process.
🚨 Thomas Tuchel: “Cole Palmer wasn’t as decisive as previous seasons, he wasn’t available for us a lot and wasn’t decisive”.
“He also competes in the right half 10 position, where we decided for Jude, Morgan and Ebs who are outstanding players, had better season and more decisive in our camps than Cole”.
Can conceivably stop France’s dangermen from having impact.
Cherki: Main focus, double team.
Mbappe: Stop early, will drop deep in unhelpful positions.
Doue + Mateta: Have control of game so no time to impact.
Whereas no answer for Saka, Bellingham, and Rashford.
@EBL2017 This isn’t a case of people demanding a ball-to-feet 10 plays LW over Rash/Gordon or whatever else. People very much understand the profile/quality of the names being rightly suggested, there isn’t a thing stopping Palmer/MGW/Hall/Maguire from slotting in.
