Minister @nsanzimanasabin accompanied @BillGates to Mwulire Sector to meet Community Health Workers, visit Mwulire Health Center, and tour the TKMD Syringes Manufacturing Plant—showcasing how technology and primary health investments are transforming care in Rwanda.
They met representatives of the backbone of Rwanda's health system: Community Health Workers, who are delivering care at people's doorsteps. In Mwulire alone, CHWs provided up to 65% of malaria screenings and up to 82% of malaria treatments over the last six months. The rollout of community EMRs further empowers them with real-time digital reporting and eliminates paperwork.
They also visited Mwulire Health Center, which brings essential services to 37,000+ residents, and TKMD, a Rwanda-based manufacturer of auto-disable syringes that exports to multiple countries through @UNICEF .
Rwanda's health gains are built on strong partnerships—where local leadership and global collaboration come together to improve lives.
