Avoiding Barracudas

Parenting is a lot of hard work and tough decisions
The tough decisions are not always about parents instructing their children to live and act the right way, it is also about parents deliberately choosing to give their children the room to become established in life without being a burden to them
I have had many housemaids in my life, many of them from a particular tribe in Nigeria
I try to pay my housemaids well, and I treat them the same way i treat my biological children
As long as they have done the medical test and passed and i am sure they do not have any communicable disease that can affect my children, i take them in and they have the same rights and benefits as my children
My first male house help became my adopted son and he is currently writing his final project at the University
I will be seeing him around Christmas day
I decided to sponsor his education when I discovered that all the money he made while working for me was being sent home to cater to the needs of his parents and siblings
When i interviewed him for the job, he told me he wanted to save enough money to buy JAMB form and write the exams so that he could be in the University the following year
I paid him fifty thousand Naira a month and his primary assignment was to babysit my children, help them with their homework, and be their big brother
He took very well to the job and I fell in love with his character
I have had several female house helps before him, all with different characters but all with the same issue
They work hard, not to keep their earnings to make their lives better or to build a better future for themselves but in order to send the money home to their parents
These are not teenagers
My house maids as a rule must be above the age of 21
If at 21-25 years, you are working and sending all the money home at the end of the month, without acquiring any skill or getting an education to prepare yourself for the future in the name of needs at home, your parents are not good parents.
I don't care what the circumstances are, they could wait a few more years for you to sort out your future before milking you dry
My adopted son's mother came to see me after he told me he had no savings, i was angry because I had been careful to open a bank account for him and i deliberately transferred his salary into the account so that he could save his earnings
His mother had a fight with her next-door neighbour and bit a huge chunk of flesh off the poor neighbour's neck in anger
The neighbors saw blood everywhere and rushed the victim to the hospital
The victim's husband arrested his mother
His father didn't have money to bail her and to pay the hospital bill
This was why they emptied out all the money the young man had carefully saved for his future
His mother begged me to keep him on the job for another year but by then he already had his admission and I insisted he would be going to school
This was primarily how i ended up adopting him
Today both his father and mother are late
He has a younger sister who had been taken in by another relative
I am praying that girl will not end up as a housemaid in the next few years
It is wrong to put your children to work so early so that you can feed off their sweat like a parasite
If you cannot provide for them as you should, it is wrong to make them provide for you at the detriment of their future
I have written here the story of Anita before
A young lady who attempted to travel to Europe through Libya at the age of sixteen
After suffering from a lot of hardship including rape in three different locations in Libya she returned to Nigeria to stay with a friend's aunty in Lagos
The woman told her she had to pay for her accommodation under her roof and feeding, as she was not running a charity organization
This led the young lady into prostitution
Guess what, her mother and siblings also demand money from her almost all the time
If somebody is not sick, someone's house rent will be due for payment
When she was in Libya and unable to communicate with them they survived somehow without her help but now that she is back they cannot survive without leeching on her and picking her to the bones
I sponsored her to acquire tailoring skills at a good school in Ogba in a bid to help her get back on her feet. Still, the leeches were always on her neck and i had to stylishly cut her off when i realized she would rather drown in a pool of sentiment than take a stand to fight for her future and stay away from prostitution.
I remember the mother of a twenty-two-year-old shop attendant I met at one of the shopping malls in Ikeja
She said "Sir, i would like you to pray with my daughter on her marital destiny, she has met someone and I want to be sure it is the will of God"
I asked her how old she was and she told me
She said she was undergoing her National Youth Service Corp and had been posted to the shop at the mall as her primary place of assignment
I asked her who the man she wanted to marry was and she mentioned his name
I know the man
I know the man's wife and children
I asked this woman calmly why she wanted her daughter to be married to this man
She said the man has been kind and generous to her daughter
I said, "Madam, are you aware he is a married man?"
"Is this what you want for your daughter?"
She said "Oh, he was married but he and his wife are having serious issues"
I started laughing
Of course, this woman knows how the game has been played since the days of Moses
Her daughter might fall for that story but I know she knows better
She said "He gave me the funds to set up a small business and he is sponsoring her education. I just feel we should not be ingrates"
Of course, the man had no intention of marrying the girl and I told her so
"Your daughter is sleeping with him as a side chick ma, he has no plans to marry her and if she brings up the issue of marriage with him, he will break up with her or keep pushing the discussion until she gets the idea"
A few weeks later, she called me and said they saw the man and his wife at an event
The man's wife was pregnant
I said "Sorry"
Parents shouldn't encourage their young daughters to bring money home to help them set up a business, feed or pay rent
Especially when the daughter is not working or earning enough to be of help to them in such a capacity
You cannot tell a child not to steal or sleep around and then start asking the same child to help you with rent money or money to set up your business when you know he or she can only raise such an amount by doing things that he or she will not be proud of
You are eating the fruit of a poisonous tree!
Parents have to do better
It is tacit endorsement when your daughter or son is bringing home gifts and money from men or women you know they shouldn't be having sex with and you receive or collect such.
With your mouth you are saying "Stop sleeping with married men" but with your hand you are profiting from the relationship indirectly
Please try and borrow some dignity
Being shameless is not an attribute of a good parent
I remember a pastor saying he had to call a family meeting in which he told all his relatives to come asking him for money for a few years because he realized he couldn't do anything tangible with his life due to their demands
They were angry for a while and started saying all sorts about him but they eventually moved on
He said seven years later, after he had built his house, he opened an account and put some money in it, with a proviso that only the interest from the money in the account could be spent
Then he called another family meeting and said he was open to helping those in need out once more
Suddenly he became a good man again.
Jesus said we will have the poor among us always and he was right
I have met beggers on subways in London and Dubai
The cycle of poverty will never end if parents continue to use their children this way all in the name of economic conditions or other excuses
Children in this situation who are reading this should wake up and make concrete decisions regarding their future
Brother Lazarus was a former colleague of mine whose family members would send a list of issues every month by the 22nd because they knew we got paid between the 23rd and 26th
He would send all his money home and then begin to beg me for financial support (He was earning way more than I was)
At first, I would support him with whatever I could until i realized i was enabling bad behaviour
I called him and told him the truth
"You are a victim of barracudas, and they won't stop until they strip you to your bones
You are a bachelor who has a fiancee that you cannot get married to because you didn't have the funds to pay her bride price and rent a house. Your relatives don't love you, sir, they are only making a fool of you at this point. If you want to know if this is true or false, call one or two of them and tell them you have lost your job. See what happens after..."
He did it
The calls stopped immediately, the monthly long list of needs and whatever also stopped and so did all the phone calls of "Keep us in mind" greetings
Within a year after this, he was able to rent a proper flat and he got married to the love of his life
Many will do well to take a cue from this
Make up your mind not to end up poor by investing in your future while you are young
Run away from barracudas!

Night of Angels

If you take a critical look at the Bible
You will discover that there are many facts which
were open to some men and closed to others
By men, I mean prophets
Some prophets never saw an angel or had
any form of interaction with an angel throughout
scripture
There are prophets who interacted with angels
on a very consistent basis
Abraham met and dined with angels
Lot met and accommodated angels
Isaac never had the opportunity to do so
Jacob saw angels ascending and descending and
later wrestled with an angel before getting his blessing
Esau never saw or interacted with an angel
None of Jacob's twelve sons met with an angel
After about 400 years of silence, Moses met with
an angel at the burning Bush
His time opened the door to angelic ministrations
among the Israelites and in Egypt for eighty years
Which included the ten plagues he did, opening the
red sea, the cloud of glory, and the pillar of fire which
created a special atmosphere for the children of
Israel in the wilderness
Joshua met with an angel when he had to face Jericho
The parents of Samson met with an angel who told
them about their son and taught them how to raise him
The angels of God slaughtered Dagon when the Ark of
the covenant was taken to the land of the Philistines
David interacted with angels, he saw one on the threshing floor of Aruna and immediately identified the spot as where the temple ought to be built
There were several sons of the prophet but Elijah and
Elisha had strong angelic interactions in their ministries
Isaiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah, and Daniel all had wonderful
relationships with angels
The majority of religious leaders in Israel however didn't
Even though the angels were given to everybody, only a
few actually could see and interact with them
In the New Testament, angels announced the coming of
both Jesus and John the Baptist
Angels announced the birth of Jesus
The same angel announced that the Holy Spirit is now
a force that will dwell in men as a key to the supernatural
John was full of the Holy Spirit from the womb
By extension, Elizabeth was full of the Holy Spirit
Mary conceived Jesus because of the power of the Highest
Overshadowed her and the Holy "Thing" in her was called
the child of the Holy Spirit
The apostles didn't have direct relationships with the
Holy Spirit until after the resurrection
They knew Jesus had ministering angels based on his
words and claims but they didn't get first-hand experiences
until Peter was locked up and angels started popping
up in the early church
An angel told Philip to join the chariot of the Ethiopian
Eunuch and the same angel took him to Azotus
An angel told Cornelius (an unbeliever) to send for
Peter so that he can be saved
The angelic is key to the full manifestation of the Supernatural
in the church of Jesus Christ
As it was in the Old Testament, it is in the New Testament
The fact that some of us enjoy the benefits of the angelic dimension in our ministry and many dont is not a puzzle
Many are called, but few are chosen
The puzzle is how those who dont operate in that dimension
tend to want to act as if it doesn't exist or it is all a fable
If i own a Ferrari and you dont despite all your hard work
You can't then tell yourself there is nothing like a Ferrari
or that Ferraris are a myth or that the days of the Ferrari
are long gone and all we have to use now are bicycles
That would be untrue and dishonest of you
Yes you prayed for it and fasted and went to mountain tops
or read your psalms and yet you saw only your pillowcase
I apologize on behalf of NIPOST, that you didn't get your letter. Dont then conclude that letters were never written or can't be delivered.
It was your letter that didn't get delivered, i got mine!
Maybe it was never written, or it got lost in transit
Maybe you didn't have faith enough for that dimension
or you simply wanted to see them for a reason that would negate the plan of God for you
Angels are part of the assembly of Zion, a part of the
Church of Jesus Christ

Hebrews 12: The Mountain of Joy

22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, 24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

It is the right of a believer who has come to this mountain to experience all that it offers as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
The day I read this scripture it was clear to me that the supernatural has become my environment
I am not shy and i do not stammer about the reality I walk in
The testimonies to prove it and the number of prophets and ministers that I have taught the supernatural who walk in this
dimension are in their thousands now
Many who are alive today could have been dead if not for the
ministry of angels that intervened in their cases through our
prophetic services
Angels are not a shrouded mystery to the church of Jesus
Christ
They are a fact
I am not one of those naive ones who would want angels
to appear on the camera of their TV so as to prove to people
that angels are real
I am not going to tell you I met one man and then i shook his
hand and he disappeared after, so he must be an angel
Nah!
I can tell you however, that if you come for any of our meetings
(Online or in any of our physical meetings) you wouldn't need to be convinced by sight
Anegels minister with us and we minister with them
We would literally tell them, it is time and they
sometimes would take over our services
The ministering Spirits will linger in the assembly for hours
Sorting out destinies and sharpening the supernatural
vision of the heirs of salvation
Sometimes the cloud will cover everywhere physically
and sometimes the atmosphere will become too clean
or submerged as if it was in the river of life
My eyes have seen the glory of the Lord
If you are going to walk in the supernatural, you cannot
dismiss the ministry of angels

LUke 5:17 One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick.

Jesus heals the sick naturally, he was full of the Holy Spirit
and yet several times in the Bible you will see the phrase
"And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick"

This power was not in Jesus' body, it comes and abides
with him on some occasions so that Jesus can use this power to heal and minister to the people

2 Kings 1 10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
11 Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.
12 And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
13 And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.
14 Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties: therefore let my life now be precious in thy sight.
15 And the angel of the Lord said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.

How do you think Elijah was bringing down fire anyhow in the passage above?
The key was in verse 15
The angel of the Lord was with him but people only saw Elijah, they didn't see the angel
It is the same with Jesus
Angels ministered to him and with him, but people only saw him because angels are spiritual beings

I cited those examples in order to open our hearts to a certain truth that does not need anyone's belief in order to validate it
Angels are real
They work with the saints everyday
It is however to each according to His or her faith

PS: Tonight is our first-ever Night of Angels celebration as a ministry
No please, we are not worshipping angels
Far from it, we are celebrating the Lord Jesus Christ who is the Head of The church with the angels who do his will and minister to us as the Heirs of salvation
Our ministry is young, we are four years old
We have seen over 50 people raised from the dead
Over 2000 verified miracle babies were birthed in defiance to medical reports
We do not collect tithes and offerings like normal churches do
Yet we have a city, Pneuma City
We have taken the gospel all over the world with signs and wonders following
We have one of the best widows ministries and CSR ministries in the world and our prophetic services produce more faith and testimonies than can be documented
We acknowledge the fact that this is not by our power or by our might
The supernatural is obvious and very welcome in our midst
So tonight, we celebrate the Night of Angels
Testimonies, Activations and manifestations of every dimension
of His glory will be experienced
