Amazon has confirmed that future James Bond video games will be handled by Amazon Games and MGM.

Amazon Gaming General Manager Jeff Gattis explained that the upcoming game 007 First Light is a unique case because the deal was signed before Amazon gained control of the James Bond franchise through MGM.

Gattis said, “The future games, for sure, will be done by MGM and, theoretically, by Amazon Game Studios.”

This means that while 007 First Light is being developed and published by IO Interactive, future Bond games will likely be overseen directly by Amazon and MGM.

It remains unclear whether IO Interactive will stay involved with the franchise after 007 First Light.
