@bensh__ This is part of a study currently underway to conceptualize different traffic patterns beyond any previous Parkway studies. This is one concept, not "the" concept, and your questions are exactly the questions under consideration.

@jongeeting @bensh__ We do and we don't. The authority exists only for specific locations. An engineering study, case by case is needed to corroberate a size/weight restriction. (E.g. a bridge weight limit). Any local blanket regulation more restrictive than the state's vehicle code is not possible.

@elweasel2010 @PhillyOTIS @PhilaStreets New Jersey is getting rid of their "traffic circles." To be a roundabout, the road is designed to force entering vehicles to yield to anyone already driving within the circular part of the road. Roundabouts also don't have stop signs nor (with certain exceptions) traffic signals.

@jongeeting @bensh__ Haha... Actually this roundabout is a compact roundabout designed to allow the occasional large truck to drive over the the grass central island without causing damage or rutting.
