State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed has deleted his post after social media users mocked the press release for naming the Japanese Prime Minister wrongly.
In the deleted statement, State House said President Ruto would meet Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba at the G7 Summit, only for Kenyans to point out that Japan’s current Prime Minister is Sanae Takaichi.
A whole State House communication machine, with staff, budgets and advisers, still cannot issue a simple international press release without embarrassing the country.
We had our country even before Somalis flooded it. Walikuja Eastleigh wakiwa wamebebwa na lorry za kubeba mbuzi. The traders they found there - who were mostly Kikuyus - gave them accommodation, hence Garrissa Lodge. They requested to do business and were allowed to trade only at night. As time went by, they were allowed to do business during the day. They have not done anything special for our economy. They don't pay taxes and they sell contrabands, which they sneak in through their port and boarders. Let them pull out. We will pick up the pieces and move on.
@lynn_ngugi1@AlinurMohamed_ If they had half the business acumen they claim, Somalia would be las vegas. Fact is they thrive in societies where they can scum the systems and evade taxes. Proof is Minnesota, Easleigh, Sweden even London.
“If Somalis decided to pull their resources out of Kenya, it will collapse in a day”..This is part of a statement by @AlinurMohamed_
By all means, pull your resources out of Kenya, let it collapse!! We will rebuild from scratch.
Every time a conversation on how Eastleigh business are taxed arises, you see such statements. We won’t cave. Watu walipe tax!!
Sam: Did one of the nabbed attackers confess who sent them?
Annet Nerima: He said they were sent by whoever read the budget the previous day #CitizenDayBreak
Madame, the vigilante groups don't care for legality of papers. But on one hand you say on one hand you're concerned about continental gigs for SA artists, and then on the other imply that you don't mind violence against so-called illegals. You are not genuine. You're trying to suggest that SA is also equally suffering for its position. No, it's not. It playing the Trump politics of sifting out lower income foreign nationals and appealing to higher income ones. That's why, as South Africans chase away workers, there is an increase of billboards in Nairobi and ads in Kenyan media advertising South Africa as a tourist destination.
