#PostOfficeScandal Everyone understands that cases will be assessed on the merit of the individual claim based on expert evidence and facts, that is only right.

However what is unsatisfactory is the differing of the schemes operation and approach to redress. You cannot have binding assessments in one scheme, non binding assessments in another and no panel assessments in another.

You cannot have risk of losing a portion of an offer in one scheme once it is made to you and not in another.

You cannot have the ability to have a full hearing chaired by an authoritative, respected former High Court Judge where you have ample opportunity to put your case forward and in another limited to three A4 pages of submissions before a panel where you have no opportunity to fully get your case understood or heard and/or to correct their wrong assumptions and assessment.

Every claimant deserves the opportunity to have access to the same processes to ensure consistency and fairness to everyone.

If @biztradegovuk or @PostOffice utilising their legal representatives @AGinsight & @HSFlegal cannot respond to a basic legal letter in 6 weeks they are either understaffed or it is deliberate delay. There are no other reasonable explanations. In every other circumstance the timescale would be 14, 21 or 28 days at the very most.
